Over 20 years of industry experience in healthcare, with a Masters Postgraduate degree of MBBS.MD in Pathology from Nagpur University and MBA in Business Administration and hospital management from the UK, Dr Akil has explored all avenues of prospective and futuristic healthcare.
He Previously had top roles in various organizations, which include being Medical Director at Asian Heart Institute BKC Mumbai, Director Operations- Bhatia hospital and Chief Pathologist at Wadia group of hospitals, Macleod Pharma and Bhatia Hospital.

An Architect behind the PPP framework of outsourcing of Ambulance services in Maharashtra, Outsourcing of Radiology clinics across district hospitals in Maharashtra and Punjab; and the advent of outsourcing of teleradiology for X-ray reporting across all primary and secondary healthcare centres across the State of Maharashtra. He has been a pioneer to set up laboratory equipment rental models with companies like Abbott, Randox and Roche with an installation base in over 50+ hospitals across Maharashtra.
